A Lyon, apprendre le patin à roulettes peut être compliqué, parfois. Ce que je veux dire, c’est qu’il faut être solide pour survivre à l’Ecole de Foch, et à l'enseignement sous forme de taille verbale prodigué par des anciens tels Nicolas Bellini ou Thomas Pfluger.
Growing up skating in Lyon can be hard, sometimes. I mean, you have to be tough to survive the “School of Foch”, and the harsh comments of masters like Nicolas Bellini or Thomas Pfluger.

C’est un sentiment étrange que d’écrire cet article sur la 5ème edition du RISC (Rouen Indoor Street Contest), puisque j’étais au même moment à 10 000 km de là. Etrange, non pas parce que je ne saurais pas quoi dire ou bien ce qui s’est passé durant ce (toujours) incroyable week-end, mais simplement parce que je regrette de n’avoir pas été là. Et je regrette bien sûr de n’avoir pas pu partager tous ces moments incroyables, moments qui ont fait de ce contest un succès inoubliable, avec mes amis pour la cinquième année consecutive.
It feels weird writing this article on the 5th edition of the RISC (Rouen Indoor Street Contest), because I was actually 10.000 km away during the contest. Weird, not because I don’t know what to say or what happened during this (always) incredible week-end, but simply because I regret not being there. And I sure regret not being able to share all the amazing moments, moments that made this contest so successful and memorable, with my friends for the 5th year in a row.

Je ne vais pas vous en faire tout un plat, ouvrez vos yeux, profitez de ces images… il est plutôt rare d'apercevoir le skating de notre cher Bukette, tout aussi déluré que nous tous, il nous fait aussi bien rêver avec un micro à la main qu’avec ses patins aux pieds. On enchaine avec toute une bande de zozos, et ça… ça me fait rêver !
I won’t go on and on about it, just open your eyes and enjoy these images…! It’s quite a rare thing to see our dear Bukette’s skating, who’s just as crazy as we are, and make us dream both with a mic’ in his hand than with rollers at his feet! Let’s keep going with a whole bunch of crazy dudes and if something makes me dream… that would be it!

L'ostracisme est un sentiment douloureux. Se sentir exclu d'une société ébranle les repères sociaux qui nous faisaient advenir en tant qu'être à part entière. Mais parfois c'est l'occasion de rompre avec cette première appartenance pour succomber à une autre.
Ostracism is a painful feeling. To be exluded from a society weakens our social framework that we have as full fledged souls. But sometimes it also offers the opportunity to break with our old patterns and experience new.
