On attend toujours ce moment avec impatience, et nous voici de nouveau à Montpellier pour assister au plus grand festival de sports de glisse en Europe, et le contest du FISE qui est vite devenu une étape phare du circuit WRS. Pour célébrer l'événement et rattraper le temps perdu, voici l'edit Frenchy Fries du contest de l'année dernière.

It's been a long time coming, but here we are in Montpellier again, in order to attend the largest extreme sports event in Europe, and the 14th edition of the FISE which has quickly become one of the main 5 stars contest of the WRS series. In order to celebrate and catch up with 2010, here is Frenchy Fries' video edit of last year's event.

Nous souciant de votre instruction, nous vous proposons parfois de vieilles bandes poussiéreuses sorties du grenier. Et bien c’est encore chose faite en ce début d’année 2010 avec ce montage qui regorge d’images autant rongées par le temps que rendues précieuses par une excitation nostalgique. C'est à peine si des fouilles archéologiques nous ont été nécessaires pour retrouver ces images datant de 2002 et 2003.

Since we care about your education here at Frenchy Fries, we sometimes come up with some old tapes straight off the attic. Well, we just did it again in 2010 with this never-seen-before edit that is full of clips which are as old as they are precious to a nostalgic mind actually. We almost had to undertake archeological researches to get those tapes from 2002 and 2003 back.

A 18h31 aujourd'hui, nous entrerons officiellement dans la saison du printemps longuement attendue. Dans quelques heures, nous en aurons fini avec ce rude hiver, et avec un peu de chance l'été arrivera bientôt, et avec lui les longues journées au soleil. C'est donc l'occasion rêvée de célébrer l'événement !

Today, around 6:31PM, we will officialy enter the long-awaited spring season. In a few hours, we will finally be done with this harsch winter and hopefully it won't be too long before we actually reach summer and enjoy long and warm sunny days. There probably couldn't be a better time to celebrate !

Ils se comptent sur les doigts d'une main, alors quand s'ouvre un skatepark spécialement conçu pour combler les attentes des patineurs à roulettes, cela vaut la peine de le mentionner ! Le grand peuple qui a apporté au monde les frites « françaises » frappe de nouveau un grand coup, avec l'ouverture d'un tout nouveau rollerpark en Belgique !

There are far too few in this world, so whenever a skatepark is designed specifically with rollerbladers in mind, we think it's worth mentioning ! The great people that brought you « French » fries strike again, with the opening of a brand new rollerpark in Belgium !

Comme nous vous l'avions promis, voici plus d'infos sur le DVD français Entrevue(s) Vol.2. Cependant, cette fois-ci nous avons plus qu'un simple trailer à vous proposer ! En fait, il s'agit d'une section entière qui n'a pu être incluse dans le DVD final, celui-ci étant déjà plein à ras bord de contenu ! En espérant que cela vous plaise !

Just as we promised, we're back at it with French DVD Entrevue(s) Vol.2. However, we came up with more than just a trailer this time ! As a matter of fact, we actually have a whole section that couldn't be included in the final DVD, since it was packed with too much material already. Enjoy this little extra then !

Le Open Inline contest a longtemps tenu lieu de finale pour le championnat hollandais, une indéniable réunion de tous les talents locaux, mais au fil des ans de plus en plus de français ont commencé à faire le déplacement, pour finalement s'emparer du show, de la couronne... Et parfois bien plus.

The Open Inline contest used to be the Dutch Championships finals, and quite a reunion of all the incredible local talents, but over the last few years, more and more French competitors started showing up at the event as well, eventually stealing the show and the crown... When not more.

Si l'on en croit les flots de haine déversés quotidiennement sur Internet, le Rock & Roll et les pantalons serrés sont sans doute ce qu'il y a de pire dans le monde du patin à roulettes. Pourtant, si l'on en juge par le très joli trailer de la seconde vidéo du Sean's, et du plaisir qu'ont ces jeunes gens à rouler ensemble, il semble bien qu'il s'agisse en fait de ce qu'il y a de meilleur dans le patin.

Rock & Roll music and tight fitting clothes are the epitom of everything that's wrong with rollerblading. Well, that's if you believe the daily flood of Internet hatred. Judging by how good looking the trailer for the second Le Sean's video is, and how much fun these guys have rolling together, to me it seems that they are everything that's right.

Le patin et ses médias ont beaucoup évolué ces dernières années. De nombreux jeunes vidéastes ont poussé le sport et sa représentation visuelle, et c'est pourquoi nous avons souhaité mettre en avant cette nouvelle génération de réalisateurs talentueux, avec cette nouvelle rubrique des guest edits. Nous commençons aujourd'hui avec un très bel edit réalisé depuis l'Australie par Craig Smith, que je vais laisser se présenter ainsi que son travail. Check him out !

The rolling media have evolved a lot in the past years. There are many skate videographers that have pushed the sport and its representation lately, and that's why we wanted to shed some light on this new generation of talented video makers, with this new guest edits series. First in line is young Craig Smith with a beautiful edit out of Australia, but I'll let him introduce himself and his work. Check him out !
