KULTURE : LOSING YOURSELF IN CHILL BUMP'S SOUND

Dans notre effort pour vous présenter des travaux intéressants ainsi que de véritables artistes, il est appréciable quand le talent tant recherché émerge juste au coin de la rue. Originaires de Tours, MC Miscellaneous & le DJ/Beatmaker Bankal se sont réunis pour vous proposer un hip-hop frais aux sonorités entêtantes, estampillé sous le blaze de «Chill Bump».

In our attempt to showcase some interesting work and true artists, it feels great when the much sought-after talent raises from right around the corner. Hailing from the streets of Tours, MC Miscellaneous & DJ/Beatmaker Bankal have teamed up to bring you some fresh hip-hop tunes under the name “Chill Bump”.

Hommes de nombreux projets, il va sans dire que les deux zouaves sont bien occupés. Miscellaneous a travaillé avec de nombreux groupes (le hip-hop de Fumuj, le dub de Metastaz et l'abstract de Doctor Flake), pendant que Banal/Bankal prenait part à de prestigieuses battles de DJ, remportant gloire et trophées. C'était une simple question de temps avant que ces deux-là unissent leurs forces.

Both involved in many projects, it's safe to say they're rather busy. Miscellaneous has been working with various bands and sounds (Fumuj's hip-hop, Metastaz's dub, as well as Doctor Flake's abstract), while Banal/Bankal has taken part in many prestigious DJ battles, earning honors and titles in the process. It was only a matter of time before the two finally joined forces.

Ils viennent juste de sortir leur premier morceau, avec un clip en prime (réalisé par le photographe, vidéaste et ami Benoit Dogniez), dont le sample parfait et le flow impeccable vous accrocherons en un rien de temps. Pendant que vous matez ça en boucle, ils travaillent déjà à la suite, en espérant même voir un EP débarquer en 2012, alors restez à l'écoute !

They just released their first track and video clip (shot and cut by photographer, video-maker and friend Benoit Dogniez), and needless to say its catchy sample and flawless rapping will get you hooked in no time. As you watch this one on repeat, they're already working on their next effort, and possibly a first EP to come out sometime in 2012, so stay tuned for more !
