Après s'être essayé au light graff quelques temps, AL s'est ensuite tourné vers les stickers, il y a maintenant plusieurs années. Avec pour influence Ernest Pignon Ernest, Banksy, Obey et bien sûr JR, ça s'est bientôt développé comme une passion à plein temps. Le format a évolué lui aussi. Après avoir commencé sur des plaquettes de 12 mini stickers qu'il imprimait à son travail au cours de sa pause-déjeuner, AL s'est attaqué à des formats A3 qu'il découpe et assemble pour former de très larges posters,puis directement à des grandes bandes de papier.

After experimenting with light painting for a while, AL started creating stickers a few years ago. With influences such as Ernest Pignon Ernest, Banksy, Obey and of course JR, it soon grew as a fulltime passion. The format evolved with time too, as it began with mini stickers AL found at his work and that he would print on his lunch break, only to scale up to A3 format stickers, and finally large pieces of paper that he would assemble to create one huge poster.

De grands portraits en noir & blanc, des clichés de patin à roulettes adaptés à un autre média, ou parfois des personnages inattendus... Les formes sont nombreuses. Tout comme un portrait dans un lieu particulier peut porter un message bien spécifique, AL présente aussi des scènes qu'il intègre dans des situations quotidiennes. Sur des événements à roulettes internationaux, AL a pris position pour la scène Frenchy, en présentant des photos de patineurs reconnus, tout comme de jeunes amateurs qui montent sans la moindre couverture médiatique.

Large black & white portraits, rollerbading shots transfered to another media, or just some random characters... The subjects are many. As a portrait in a particular place can carry a specific message, AL also depicts others scenes he incorporates in actual situations. On some larger rollerblading events, AL took a stand for the French scene, and presented pictures of well-known killers right next to local up-and-comers that have little to no coverage at all.

Son travail peut donc prendre plusieurs aspects, mais la topologie est toujours la même. Ses posters prennent possession de la rue, que ce soit sur des événements culturels ou sportifs bien précis, ou bien juste de petites œuvres d'art qu'il incorpore dans la vie quotidienne de la cité. Exposées à l'œil de chacun, elles poussent parfois le passant à s'arrêter. « Si j'ai pu apporter une certaine réflexion aux autres, alors mon travail a réussi » déclare l'artiste en conclusion.

His work can take several aspects, but the topology is always the same. AL's posters take over the streets, be it on specific cultural or sports events, or just as a little piece of art in the casual life of the city. It is exposed for everyone to take a look, and sometimes push the process even further. « If I could bring someone to have his own reflexion, then my work was successful » concludes the artist.

Après avoir contribué au dernier projet de JR dans la ville de Paris, AL est maintenant à la radio avec une interview quotidienne. Ca se passe sur Radio Clapas, 93.5 sur Montpellier, la semaine du 14 au 18 (sauf le mercredi). Et pour finir en beauté, voici un très joli montage filmé et réalisé par Anthony Finochiaro, présentant une nuit du collage avec AL à travers les rues parisiennes. After helping out the infamous JR on his last project in Paris, AL is now on the radio with a daily interview.
