MONTAGE : PIERRE LELIEVRE KLACOS PROFILE

Il est aisé de faire une vidéo à partir d'un paquet de tricks, mais bien plus difficile de créer un objet unique, avec un concept et un projet véritable comme épine dorsale. Les créateurs du DVD Klacos (Hugo Renard, Arnaud Lanouiller & Mathieu Angot) ont consacré beaucoup de temps et d'efforts à créer l'un des projets les plus intéressants à émerger de la scène française depuis un moment.
It's easy to make a video with a bunch of skating clips, but it's way more difficult to create a unique object, with a concept and purpose to back it up. The makers of the Klacos DVD (Hugo Renard, Arnaud Lanouiller & Mathieu Angot) definitely put a lot of time and effort in the making of one of the most interesting projects to pop out of the French scene for quite a while.
Le packaging du DVD lui-même est original et parachève l'ensemble du concept: un objet frais et authentique pour représenter la scène de Normandie. Les courtes scènes qui introduisent chaque section, tout comme la qualité de la plupart des images, tout cela montre l'attention apportée au projet. Bien sûr, tout n'est pas parfait, certains spots reviennent un peu trop souvent, et le filming de nuit n'est pas toujours au point, mais au final c'est un bien agréable DVD dont la vision dégage une impression distincte qui lui est propre, ce qui est plutôt rare ces temps-ci.

The short scenes introducing each section, as well as the quality of most of the clips, this all shows the dedication put into the project. Of course, not everything is perfect, and some spots are seen a little too often, and night filming isn't always on point, but overall it's quite an enjoyable watch, and the DVD leaves a distinctive feel, which is pretty rare these days.
In between a French and a US montage, and a short section on his younger brother, the higlight of the video clearly is Pierre Lelièvre's profile. A recent addition to the Valo family, Pierre has been making a name for himself over the course of the past years, and this profile is no exception to his habits: fresh skating on fresh obstacles and styled out hammers. Avec entre autres un montage français, une visite des États-Unis, et une petite section sur son jeune frère, le point fort de la vidéo est clairement le profile de Pierre Lelièvre.
